1. Definitions within this policy

Data Subject (also referred to as “applicants”, “students”, ”recipients of scholarship”)

Refers to you as an individual who can be identified, directly or indirectly, via an identifier such as but not limited to name, phone number, location data, factors specific to your physical, cultural or social identity that you have provided, or provide, as personal data in order to apply for a scholarship managed and provided by Intelligent Banker ApS doing business as Moneezy.com (hereinafter Moneezy).

Personal Data (also referred to as “data”)

Any information relating to an identifiable natural person (“data subject”) including but not limited to name, phone number, location, photographic, physical, genetic, mental, cultural, or social identity information.

Data Controller

Refers to Intelligent Banker ApS doing business as Moneezy and the individuals it employs who are responsible for the purpose and the means by which personal data in connection with scholarship application is collected.

Data Processor

Refers to the individuals employed at Intelligent Banker ApS doing business as Moneezy who process personal data on behalf of the controller as well as 3rd party processors external to the controller. The 3rd party data processor is a natural or legal person, organization or other body which processes your personal data as instructed by Intelligent Banker Aps doing business as Moneezy for specific purposes.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the personal data provided by the data subjects that the data controller collects and processes in respect to the application process and applications for scholarship.

3. Lawful bases for collecting and processing your personal data

The data controller legally collects and processes your data on the bases of:

  • The data controller has a legitimate interest to process your personal data in order to receive, reviewing and manage your application for a scholarship
  • In order to communicate with you regarding your application and provide assistance
  • In order to manage and provide you with the scholarship agreement and prize
  • When you provide an explicit permission in the form of a clear affirmative action which for the purpose of this policy is defined as applying for a scholarship by means of email

4. Categories of personal data collected/processed and purpose

The data controller collects the following types of data from applicants in order to receive, review and manage your application, and to communicate with you regarding your application:

  • Full name
  • Contact information including, without limitation, email address, physical address, phone number, and location information
  • Unique personal identifiers, photographical and biographical information (e.g. age)
  • Details of your prior/current education, volunteer work and/or employment

The data controller collects the following type of information from the recipient of the scholarship in order to award the prize:

  • Bank account number for the purpose of paying the scholarship award

5. Data retention

The data controller will retain personal data about the applicants for as long as necessary to select a recipient of the award and pay the scholarship prize and no longer than 2 years. After this period, all data is permanently purged.

6. Data processors

Internal data processors (also referred as “staff”)

The data controller recognizes its obligation to protect personal data. Internal data processors processing personal data on behalf of the data controller are subject to a confidentiality agreement. Information access is restricted by user permissions and granted only to staff who need it to receive, review and manage applications, or to communicate with applicants regarding their applications.

External data processors (also referred as “3rd party processors”)

The service provided by the data controller’s 3rd party processor makes it possible to receive, collect and store the applications:

Freshdesk

Freshdesk is an email address management and message sending service that receives, collects, processes and stores personal data on behalf of the data controller.

7. Data subject’s rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you are entitled to the following rights:

  • The right to be informed

You have the right to be informed about the data controller’s data collection and processing activities related to the purposes described in this privacy policy.

  • The right to access

You have the right to obtain a copy of the personal data which is collected and processed.

  • The right to erasure

You have the right to “be forgotten”, to request the deletion of your personal data at any time. Under the terms of this privacy policy, requesting erasure of data is equivalent to withdrawing the scholarship application irrespective of the evaluation and awarding process but not the vice versa. Should you decide to withdraw your application during application processing or scholarship awarding, which you have the right to do at any time, personal data will be retained as per the outlined retention terms unless otherwise requested by the data subject.

  • The right to restrict processing

You have the right to restrict processing of personal data under certain circumstances also outlined in point 3 of the Data subject’s rights. Should you exercise this right, we may not be able to receive, review, manage and award your scholarship.

  • The right to object

You have the right to object to personal data processingalso outlined in point 3 of the Data subject’s rights. Should you exercise this right, we will not be able to receive, review, manage and award your scholarship.

  • The right to rectification

You have the right to rectify any incorrect or incomplete personal data. If you wish to update the personal data on your application, please contact us.

  • The right to data portability

You have the right to copy, transfer or move your personal data, which is done at the requester’s expense and only upon request.

  • The right to not be subjected to automated decision-making

You have the right to be provided with measures against automated decision-making and request human intervention at any time which you can do by contacting us.

8. Protection and security of data

Protection of personal data is ensured by installation and maintenance of technical, physical, and administrative measures. The security measures include and are not limited to intrusion detection, firewalls, data encryption, data access controls and administrative policies.
